Join the Guided Grace Companions Team We are looking for compassionate, dependable Companion/Sitter Aides who genuinely enjoy being present with people and making a meaningful difference in their daily lives. As a Companion/Sitter Aide, you will provide meaningful companionship and non-medical support while helping clients remain safe, comfortable, engaged, and connected in their own homes. You may spend your time sharing conversation, providing a reassuring presence, accompanying a client to activities or appointments, assisting with appropriate non-medical routines, and offering the kind of thoughtful support that helps make each day a little easier. This is more than simply being present in someone's home. It is a relationship-centered role for someone who understands that quality care begins with listening, respect, patience, and genuine human connection. Responsibilities Provide meaningful companionship and emotional support, fostering a warm, respectful, and engaging environment for clients. Maintain a reassuring presence and encourage social engagement, conversation, and appropriate activities based on the client's interests and preferences. Document each visit accurately in our care-tracking system, including date, time in/out, services provided, and relevant observations. Prepare simple, nutritious meals and provide meal-related assistance consistent with the client's established needs and care plan. Perform light housekeeping tasks such as tidying, laundry, and other duties that help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe home environment. Accompany and/or provide transportation for clients to appointments, errands, activities, and other approved destinations, when applicable. Observe and promptly communicate changes in a client's condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate agency contact. Respect each client's privacy, preferences, independence, personal boundaries, and right to make their own choices. Follow all agency policies, procedures, safety practices, and documentation requirements. Qualifications & Skills Prior caregiving or companion-care experience is preferred but not required ; training is provided. Must successfully complete required Georgia background screening, including GCHEXS, and TB screening. Must complete agency orientation and required competency training prior to assignment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Warm, patient, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a client's home. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to demonstrate good judgment, reliability, professionalism, and respect for client confidentiality. Comfortable using a smartphone or other technology to complete visit documentation and communicate with the agency. Why Join Guided Grace Companions?
