Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring clients receive respectful, attentive, and comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to support dietary needs Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to ensure safe patient transfers and mobility assistance Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient progress, and any incidents or concerns Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's through memory care techniques and patient engagement Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow personalized care plans Provide emotional support, companionship, and social interaction to enhance quality of life Experience Prior experience working in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and care planning Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dementia, or hospice needs is advantageous Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality is essential Hands-on experience with patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs is desirable Strong background in providing long-term care or social work services within home or community settings Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed Join us as an In Home Caregiver if you are passionate about providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live comfortably and independently.
