Caregiver Residential Care Home | 12-Hour Shifts
Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and responsible Caregiver to join our small residential care home team. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys caring for kupuna , takes pride in providing quality care, and is comfortable working independently in a home-like environment. This is a hands-on position requiring reliability, good judgment, patience, and attention to detail. Caregivers provide personalized assistance with daily activities, personal care, meals, medications as permitted, resident safety, housekeeping, documentation, and other duties necessary to maintain a safe and comfortable home.
Qualifications Required:
Reliable and dependable attendance Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to resident care Ability to work independently and follow care plans, instructions, and facility policies Ability to work 12-hour shifts Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living and personal care Current CPR and First Aid certification Current physical examination Current two-step TB skin test Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, caregivers, and supervisors Ability to maintain resident confidentiality Ability to complete required documentation accurately Successful completion of required background screening and other employment requirementsPreferred:
Previous caregiving or residential care experience CNA or other applicable healthcare experience/certification Experience caring for elderly residents or individuals requiring assistance with daily activities Responsibilities Provide compassionate, respectful, and individualized resident care Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and other activities of daily living Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and use of assistive devices as directed Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to resident needs Assist with medications as permitted by applicable regulations and facility procedures Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition, behavior, or safety concerns Follow resident care plans and specific care instructions Complete required caregiver documentation and communication logs Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and safe home environment Perform routine housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and other household duties Follow handwashing, infection-control, and safety procedures Communicate important resident information during shift changes Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow emergency procedures Work cooperatively with other caregivers and supervisors Complete assigned duties before the end of each shift What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is dependable, trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely enjoys caring for kupuna .
