Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an In-Home Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, professional assistance to clients in their homes, promoting independence, safety, and well-being. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure each client receives the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including those needing specialized memory or dementia care. Your dedication will help clients maintain comfort and dignity in their daily lives while fostering a positive and supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote independence and dignity. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly. Support clients with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety during movement. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance mental well-being, especially for those with Alzheimer's, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, patient observations, medication schedules, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with transportation for medical appointments or community activities, ensuring safe and reliable client mobility outside the home. Qualifications Proven experience working as a caregiver in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification. Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer's/dementia care, memory care, hospice support, or autism spectrum disorder support is advantageous. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients' families and healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often required for client outings or appointments.
