Job Description
Job Summary Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver, where your dedication and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive assistance with daily living activities, ensure safety through vigilant patient observation, and promote independence within the comfort of clients' homes. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a nurturing environment that enhances quality of life for those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop rewarding relationships while utilizing your caregiving expertise in diverse settings. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices. Monitor patients' vital signs, observe changes in health status, and report findings accurately to healthcare professionals while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including specialized diets for dementia or Alzheimer's care, and assist with feeding as necessary. Support medication administration following prescribed schedules and care plans, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with healthcare standards. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community activities to promote social engagement and independence. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Document patient progress, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with clients' families or healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery. Qualifications Have a valid DL and a proof of Insurance. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication management, and first aid/CPR certification. Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and managing residents' rights within long-term care settings. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods. Experience working with individuals with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, intellectual disabilities, or developmental disabilities support is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Valid driver's license preferred for personal transportation assistance; must be reliable and punctual.
