Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support using safe patient lifting practices and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health status is maintained and documented accurately. Administer medications following prescribed protocols, ensuring safety and compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide specialized Alzheimer's care and memory support tailored to individual needs within dementia and memory care settings. Support residents with personal hygiene routines, including showering, toileting, and skin care, maintaining their dignity at all times. Engage residents in social activities and group exercises to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, resident progress, and any incidents or changes in condition. Follow all safety protocols for manual handling, resident rights protection, and emergency procedures such as first aid and CPR when necessary. Support home & community care initiatives by assisting with meal preparation, light cleaning, transportation (driving), and general household tasks to foster a comfortable living environment. Qualifications Prior assisted living or long-term care experience is highly preferred; experience working with individuals with cognitive disabilities or developmental disabilities is a plus. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, geriatrics, and behavior management techniques. Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as medication administration or Hoyer lift training are advantageous. Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely for resident outings or appointments. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members while respecting residents' rights. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and assist with manual handling activities regularly. Experience working in residential care homes or group home environments is desirable; familiarity with home & community care practices is beneficial.
