Job Description
Caregiver The Gables in Pocatello is a Memory Care community for the elderly. We are looking for a competent Caregiver to care for our residents in a professional and compassionate manner. Must be hardworking, honest and reliable. We are currently hiring for Thursday, Friday, Saturday overnight shift from 10pm-6am. Pay ranges from $14-16/hour based on experience. Weekend shifts receive differential pay and overnight shift also does. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and assist our residents with activities of daily living. Responsibilities Help residents take prescribed medication (Must have Med Certification) Assist residents with ambulation and mobility around the community Assist residents with personal care and hygiene Help residents with physical therapy exercises Cooking Perform light housekeeping duties that residents can't complete on their own Be a pleasant and supportive companion Report any unusual incidents Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Skills Proven experience as a caregiver Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR) Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards Respectful and compassionate Good time management skills Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Strong ethics High school diploma or equivalent Must have First Aid/CPR certification, medication certification and be able to clear a criminal history background check.
