Job Summary Guardian Angel Homes is seeking a dependable and attentive Shower Aide / Meal Assistant to support residents with scheduled showers, personal care, and mealtime assistance. This position plays an important role in ensuring residents receive consistent, respectful care while maintaining their dignity, safety, and comfort. Duties and Responsibilities Assist residents with scheduled showers, bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene needs. Provide care in a manner that maintains resident dignity, privacy, safety, and individual preferences. Assist residents during mealtimes, including meal setup, cueing, feeding assistance, and other support as needed. Observe residents during care and promptly report changes in condition, behavior, skin integrity, mobility, appetite, or other concerns to the appropriate staff member. Follow each resident's care plan and established safety precautions. Maintain cleanliness of resident areas, including bathrooms and dining spaces, adhering to infection control standards Experience and Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or a similar caregiving environment is highly preferred. Experience assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and feeding, is preferred. Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments is preferred. CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler certifications are required. Able to pass a background check.
