Job Description

Job Overview At Comfort Home Care, caregivers provide non-medical, in-home support that allows seniors to stay safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes. This is not a "sit and watch TV" job. This is hands-on, detailed, and meaningful work. Duties What You'll Do You will be responsible for caring for clients in their homes by assisting with daily tasks, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and providing real companionship. Personal Care (ADLs) Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Help with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention Support hygiene needs (hair, nails, shaving, etc.) Provide medication reminders (non-medical) Home Support Clean and maintain the home to a high standard (kitchen, bathroom, floors, laundry, linens) Prepare meals and encourage proper nutrition Keep the home organized and safe Companionship & Engagement Talk, listen, and actively engage with clients Encourage activity and routine Provide emotional support and reduce isolation Transportation & Errands (as needed) Drive clients to appointments Grocery shopping or pick up prescriptions Run basic errands Daily Expectations Show up on time and ready to work Follow the care plan exactly as written Use your full scheduled time (no leaving early unless directed) Document care accurately in our system (AxisCare) Communicate any concerns or changes immediately Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or group home settings is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, HIPAA training, and medication administration are required or highly desirable Strong patient observation skills with the ability to monitor vital signs and recognize changes in condition Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when needed Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions such as hospice or hospice care experience is a plus Excellent communication skills combined with a caring attitude to foster trust and rapport with clients and their families Join us in making a positive impact by providing compassionate home care that enhances quality of life. Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
