Weekday shifts (two positions available) We are hiring two reliable, trustworthy caregivers to support my mom, a stroke survivor who communicates her needs clearly but requires physical assistance with mobility and daily tasks. This position is paid through the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) Home Services Program . Position 1

• Morning/Daytime Caregiver (4 days/week) Three days: 9:00 AM
• 1:00 PM One day: 8:00 AM
• 4:00 PM Flexible on which weekday becomes your full‑day shift (first come, first served). Position 2
• Afternoon/Daytime Caregiver (4 days/week) Three days: 1:00 PM
• 5:00 PM One day: 8:00 AM
• 4:00 PM Flexible on which weekday becomes your full‑day shift.

Full‑day shifts may occasionally include transporting her to doctor appointments.

Pay Rate Starting pay:

$20/hour Raises every 6 months: typically $0.50

75 DHS is moving toward a statewide rate of $25/hour , so pay will increase as the program updates. About My Mom Stroke survivor; physically disabled but able to communicate Uses a sit‑to‑stand lift for transfers Shower days: Monday & Friday Cooperative, friendly, and enjoys routine Job Duties Assist with transfers using sit‑to‑stand machine Shower assistance (Mondays & Fridays) Light meal prep Light housekeeping (tidying, dishes, wiping counters) Laundry Helping schedule and attend doctor appointments Companionship and safety monitoring Cats in the Home We have five friendly cats . You do not need to care for them. You may occasionally need to lure them into a bedroom with treats if my aunt visits (she is terrified of cats). Must be comfortable working in a home with cats. Time‑Off Policy This job is paid through the State of Illinois DHS Home Services Program , which provides 1 hour of PTO for every 40 hours worked . We would allow up to 96 hours of total absences per year (including PTO) unless coverage is aligned . If you need additional time off beyond the 96 hours, you may take it as long as you arrange coverage for your shift so my mom is not left alone.

Two‑week notice for planned time off Four‑week notice if stepping down from the position This policy keeps things fair, protects my mom's safety, and ensures the household stays stable. Household & Work Environment I am an RBT and work full‑time Monday-Friday, so reliability is extremely important. I will be home on major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. The rest of the year, I work full‑time shifts, so consistency and dependability matter.
