Key Responsibilities:
Park Place of Elmhurst is seeking Campus Care Aide's to provide resident care according to physician's orders and in conformance with established standards, and administrative policies. Maintaining accurate and complete records of care. Performs all functions in compliance with CDC, OSHA, JCAHO, State and Federal Regulatory bodies. Communicates and interprets the goals of care to the resident and family/caregiver. Wellness Checks Medication Reminders Organizing activities Meal and Special Events Escorts Ted Hose Application and Removal Bed making and linen changes Emptying Trash Grooming and bathing assistance Walking Meal Delivery Laundry Services Pet Services (dog walking, feeding, watering and cat feeding, watering, and changing litter) Assist with the Admissions process and greet residents and family members. Assist in toileting, bathing, and daily grooming of assigned residents. Maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for the residents. Wear a gait belt to assist residents who are not fully ambulatory. Document changes in medical condition to the appropriate nurses on duty. Give and receive shift reports to ensure consistent medical care is delivered.
Requirements:
Must truly have a desire to care for the elderly. Must have a compassionate, empathetic, and nurturing personality. Previous experience in long-term care. Must be mature and career minded. EOE
