Youth Activity Coordinator Job Posting Job Title Youth Activity Coordinator Location Gurnee, IL Employment Type Part-Time (Year-Round, Including Summer) About Us T Elite Martial Arts & After School Center is a vibrant, family-owned program that provides structured, engaging, and safe environments for kids from Kindergarten through 8th grade. From after school enrichment and school closure camps to our summer sports programs, we focus on promoting growth, confidence, and creativity in every child we serve. Position Summary We're seeking a responsible, energetic Youth Activity Coordinator to lead and supervise students during after-school hours, school break camps, and our summer half-day programs. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is highly organized, and can manage a group with confidence and creativity — all while maintaining a safe and positive environment. Schedule
- School Year (regular days): Monday-Friday, 1:30-5:30/6:00 PM
School Holidays, Half-Days, and Closures:
Varies (must be flexible)- Summer (camp): Monday-Friday, 12:30-5:30 PM Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with students in grades K-8 during after school, days off of school, and camp hours (winter break, spring break, and summer)
- Lead indoor and outdoor games, including use of the gym for sports activities
- Develop, create, and implement arts & crafts projects within a specified budget
- Assist with academic support such as homework and reading time
- Prepare and distribute snacks; clean up as needed
- Maintain and enforce strict behavior guidelines to ensure a safe, respectful, and positive environment
- Maintain a clean and organized program space
- Communicate effectively with parents and team members
- Safely transport students in a company-provided mini-van, as needed Minimum Requirements
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely drive a mini-van (for candidates over 26)
- Provide driver's report from DMV (for candidates over 26)
- Must pass a DCFS background check and fingerprinting
- Must be able to obtain First Aid and CPR certification (training cost covered by company)
- Ability to work independently and responsibly while managing a group of children
- Strong behavior management skills with a calm and consistent approach (ability to learn and be coached)
