Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans. Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior and report findings accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance for confidentiality. Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and structured routines. Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment that promotes well-being. Skills Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or dementia requiring specialized memory care strategies. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist residents using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and social workers. Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality at all times. Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
