The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in home health, senior care, and disability support, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing clients' quality of life through attentive and respectful caregiving. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Support patients with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and adherence to care plans. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and individual preferences. Facilitate patient transfer methods using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment through light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Assist with transportation for medical appointments, errands, or social outings as needed. Observe and report any changes in health status or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members promptly. Requirements Proven experience working in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs measurement. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy. Experience working with individuals with autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's care), neurodevelopmental disorders, or developmental disabilities. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in hospice or memory care is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation of care activities. Ability to follow detailed care plans while adapting to individual needs with compassion and professionalism.
