Job Description
In Home Caregiver - Weekend Position Heart of Chicago Home Care LLC is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and experienced In Home Caregiver for a client located in Lindenhurst, Illinois. The selected caregiver must already have hands-on experience safely operating a Hoyer lift. Schedule Saturday and Sunday 9:00 AM-12:00 PM Approximately 6 hours per week Pay $18.00 per hour Responsibilities Follow the client's authorized service plan and all agency procedures. Safely operate a Hoyer lift and assist with transfers according to the client's service plan. Provide companionship, supervision, and emotional support. Assist with approved personal care and activities of daily living. Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, dishes, and organizing the client's living area. Prepare meals and assist with other approved household tasks. Support the client's safety, comfort, dignity, privacy, and independence. Observe and promptly report any changes, concerns, incidents, or safety issues to the agency. Complete required electronic visit verification and service documentation accurately and on time. Notify the agency before performing any service or task that is not included in the client's authorized service plan. Requirements Must have prior hands-on experience safely and correctly using a Hoyer lift. Previous professional caregiving or home-care experience is required. Must be dependable and available every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. Must have reliable transportation to Lindenhurst, Illinois. Must successfully complete all required background checks. Must complete the agency's required orientation, training, and competency evaluations. Must be able to safely assist with client mobility and transfers. Must communicate professionally with the client, family members, and agency staff. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred or must be obtained as required by the agency. Must maintain client confidentiality and comply with all agency policies.
