A Home Helpers Caregiver plays a key role in promoting dignity and independence by helping clients live safe and happy lives. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Support clients with mobility challenges using equipment like a gait belt or sit-to- stand when needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' overall quality of life.
- Prepare fresh and healthy meals Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health care, hospice care, or facility experience, long-term care is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, or memory care is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to perform lifts and transfer and assist clients with mobility challenges safely.
- A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a respectful manner.
