Job Description
Position Summary The Caregiver provides non-medical, in-home support services to clients in accordance with Indiana Medicaid Waiver, HCBS, and agency standards. This role promotes client independence, safety, dignity, and quality of life while following all agency policies and individualized service plans. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene as outlined in the care plan. Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and fall-prevention techniques. Perform homemaker tasks such as light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and organization. Support clients with community access, errands, and companionship. Follow all documentation standards, completing accurate, timely, and truthful service notes. Observe and report changes in client condition, environment, or safety concerns. Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA. Adhere to all safety, infection control, and emergency procedures. Provide services only within the scope of non-medical home care as defined by Indiana regulations.
