Job Overview Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring personalized care in their own homes. This energetic position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive support, including personal care, medication management, and companionship, ensuring safety and comfort for clients with diverse needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques. Monitor patients' vital signs, observe changes in health status, and report findings accurately to healthcare professionals while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Administer medications safely following care plans and document all medication administration activities precisely. Support clients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, utilizing specialized techniques for safety and engagement. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or social activities to promote independence and community involvement. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and ensuring the home is hazard-free. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, patient monitoring, and first aid/CPR certification. Familiarity with specialized care such as hospice care, home health services, or long-term care environments. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other equipment safely. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, family members, and healthcare teams while respecting client confidentiality under HIPAA regulations. Experience working with individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities is highly desirable. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client outings or appointments are preferred.
