Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Assistant to support our team in creating a nurturing, engaging, and well-organized environment for children. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with young learners, helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, compassion, and a proactive attitude to foster a positive experience for every child. Whether in classroom settings, daycare centers, or during camp activities, your contribution will be vital in shaping joyful and productive learning moments. This is a very part time role that involves watching and taking care of the children after the school day is done. Duties Support children's development through engaging activities, including arts and crafts, or reading sessions Help maintain behavior management strategies to promote respectful and cooperative behavior among students Provide basic childcare and first aid when necessary, ensuring children's health and safety at all times Aid in organizing educational materials, toys, and supplies for smooth daily operations Supervise children during outdoor play, lunch breaks, naps, and special events such as camps or field trips Collaborate with staff to implement early childhood education principles and special education accommodations when needed Foster positive relationships with children by offering encouragement, guidance, and Christian counseling support as appropriate Provide potty training and pull-up needs Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is highly desirable Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified Background in early childhood education or childhood development is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members Ability to handle diverse situations with patience, compassion, and professionalism Experience with special education needs or behavior management techniques is advantageous Passion for nurturing children's growth through teaching, childcare, sports coaching or theater activities Join us in making a meaningful impact on young lives!
