Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Caregiver who is fluent in Spanish to join our team on a part-time basis in Hammond. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals with diverse needs, incontinance Care promoting their independence, safety, and well-being. Your dedication will help create a warm, respectful environment where clients feel valued and cared for. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, noting changes, and reporting findings accurately Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Facilitate patient transfer methods using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring a hygienic environment Engage in patient observation to identify any changes in condition or behavior, especially related to dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care Familiarity with assisted living, nursing home, or home health environments including care plans and patient monitoring Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, and hospice care best practices Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish and English to foster clear client communication Skilled in patient transfer methods, manual handling, CPR, first aid, and medication administration Experience working with patients requiring assistance with ADLs and personal care assistance Understanding of resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings Join us if you're passionate about providing exceptional care and making a positive impact!
