This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by promoting independence, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will bring energy, empathy, and a proactive approach to daily caregiving tasks, ensuring each client's needs are met with professionalism and kindness. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and independence. Monitor patients' vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe and report any changes in health status promptly. Administer medications accurately following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality. Support clients with mobility using proper manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety during movement. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with meal consumption as needed. Maintain detailed documentation on care plans, patient progress, and incident reports; communicate effectively with healthcare teams and family members. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings, ensuring safe travel at all times. Skills Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), and neurodevelopmental disorders support. Skilled in patient monitoring, medication administration, first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, resident's rights, hospice care principles, and long-term care practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling tasks; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is highly valued. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, family updates, and team collaboration; experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics and individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities. Competence in meal preparation, personal transportation assistance, home & community care activities, and assisting clients with ADLs in a respectful manner.
