Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and trustworthy House Manager / Home Assistant to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy household. This role is responsible for maintaining smooth routines, anticipating household needs, and taking full ownership of organization, errands, and lifestyle management. The ideal candidate creates a home environment that feels seamless, efficient, and well-supported. Key Responsibilities Household Cleaning & Care Complete daily household tidying, including dishes, counters, laundry, floors, bedrooms, and trash removal. Assist with deep cleaning projects such as appliances, blinds, and seasonal upkeep. Manage all laundry needs, including washing, drying, ironing, and care for specialty garments. Handle trash, recycling, and breakdown of boxes and packaging. Organization & Household Resets Establish and maintain daily, weekly, and seasonal household reset routines. Declutter and organize closets, pantries, storage areas, and common spaces. Manage seasonal transitions, including décor changes and patio or garden preparation. Vehicle Management Refill fuel and schedule vehicle maintenance, inspections, and detailing. Keep vehicles stocked with essentials such as first aid kits, chargers, snacks, and spare clothing. Errands & Logistics Handle returns, exchanges, shipping, and package management. Coordinate pickups and drop-offs, including children, prescriptions, and household supplies. Run personal and last-minute errands such as gifts, flowers, or special requests. Food, Kitchen & Nutrition Support Maintain an organized pantry and refrigerator, restocking as needed. Grocery shop and manage food delivery services. Prepare meals and snacks for daily routines, gatherings, or special events. Assist with hosting, including event preparation and post-event cleanup. Home & Property Maintenance Coordinate with contractors and service providers (landscaping, pool, plumbing, etc.). Schedule, oversee, and follow up on routine maintenance and repairs. Manage yard care, landscaping schedules, and pest control services. Plants, Pets & Home Living Water, fertilize, and rotate indoor and outdoor plants. Feed, walk, groom pets, and manage veterinary appointments. Maintain inventory and organization of pet supplies. Family & Child Support Assist with school preparation, including supplies, lunches, and permission slips. Manage family calendars and coordinate extracurricular activities. Transport children to and from after-school and extracurricular activities as needed. Travel & Household Transitions Prepare luggage, packing lists, and travel documents. Prepare the home before and after travel, including cleaning, fridge restocking, and pet coordination. Seasonal & Special Projects Oversee holiday decorating and post-holiday teardown and storage. Organize family photo albums, digital files, and long-term memory archives.
