Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities and health management. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring personalized care, whether in a home, assisted living facility, or community setting. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to promoting independence, safety, and well-being for clients of all ages and abilities. This is a paid position that emphasizes respectful, client-centered service while fostering a positive and supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure health stability Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines for patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, especially in cases involving dementia or Alzheimer's disease Support clients with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; perform heavy lifting when required Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning tasks to promote a safe and hygienic environment Follow detailed care plans designed by healthcare professionals to ensure personalized support and safety Document all care activities thoroughly, including medication administration, patient responses, and any incidents or concerns Provide emotional support and companionship to foster social engagement and mental well-being Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's), or in hospice or home health settings is highly desirable Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are preferred Knowledge of assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or long-term care environments is advantageous Ability to perform light to heavy lifting safely; experience operating mobility aids like Hoyer lifts is a plus Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred for community-based care roles Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life while maintaining professionalism Join us in delivering compassionate care that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives.
