Job Overview •6a-2p•We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to residents in an Assisted Living setting. As a Resident Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting residents with daily activities while ensuring their safety and well-being. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Remind residents to take medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation is maintained. Assist residents with mobility and lifting as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Support residents in daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity. Engage residents in social and recreational activities to enhance their emotional well-being. Maintain accurate records of resident care and communicate effectively with the healthcare team. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Requirements Previous experience in long-term care, home community care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus. Ability to lift and support residents safely; physical stamina is essential for this role. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving. Familiarity with dementia care practices is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in caregiving or nursing assistance are advantageous.
