This role involves working closely with individuals requiring personal care, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need of in-home support. Duties Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, fostering a trusting and respectful relationship Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or recreational activities as needed Support clients with daily home care routines to promote independence and comfort Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure safety during emergencies Work closely with individuals who have developmental disabilities, tailoring care approaches to meet their unique needs Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in client condition Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for clients Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to connect empathetically with clients Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified Compassionate attitude with patience and respect for client autonomy Ability to assist with personal transportation and mobility needs safely Reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail in providing quality care Must be able to work independently while following care plans and safety guidelines This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting individuals in maintaining their independence and quality of life within the comfort of their homes.
