Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in caregiving, particularly for individuals with disabilities or those requiring special care. This role involves working closely with clients to enhance their quality of life through personalized support and care. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the specific needs of each client. Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring the health and safety of clients. Provide direct support in home community care settings, fostering independence and well-being. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional health, particularly for those with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Skills Proficiency in first aid and emergency response techniques. Experience in direct support roles, particularly within assisted living or home care environments. Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Familiarity with monitoring vital signs and understanding basic medical protocols. Background in nursing or social work is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing client needs.
