Part-Time Caregiver

•Lexington, KY Area We are looking for an experienced, dependable part-time caregiver to assist an older adult in a private home in the Lexington, Kentucky area. Applicants must be comfortable and experienced using a Hoyer lift , as transfers are an important part of the position. The ideal caregiver is kind, reliable, attentive and proactive. We are looking for someone who notices what needs to be done and is comfortable providing hands-on assistance, rather than needing detailed direction throughout each shift.

Responsibilities may include:

Hoyer lift transfers and mobility assistance Assistance with personal care, dressing and toileting Repositioning and general activities of daily living Meal preparation and assistance with meals as needed Light household tasks related to the individual's care Companionship and general supervision Communicating with family about any needs or concerns

Requirements:

Comfortable and experienced using a Hoyer lift Previous caregiving experience Dependable and punctual Comfortable providing hands-on personal care Strong references Ability to pass a background check CNA, home-health, nursing-home, hospital or similar experience is welcome, but certification is not required if you have strong relevant caregiving experience. This is a private-family position , not an agency position. We are looking for someone interested in consistent part-time work and ideally a longer-term relationship with the family.

Schedule:

Part-time, approximately 12-24 hours per week. We have some flexibility in arranging days and shifts and can discuss availability with the right candidate.

Pay:

$22

•27 per hour, depending on experience. Please apply with a brief description of your caregiving background and Hoyer lift experience.
