We are specifically seeking caregivers who can communicate fluently in ASL and provide compassionate, dependable in-home care while supporting each client's safety, independence, dignity, and quality of life. ASL fluency is a required skill for this position. Candidates must be able to provide proof of ASL training, certification, or other qualifying ASL education/credentials. What You'll Do As an ASL-fluent Caregiver, HHA, or CNA, you'll provide non-medical in-home support to help clients remain safe, comfortable, independent, and connected in their homes. Depending on the client's individual care plan, responsibilities may include: Communicating with clients using ASL Providing companionship and conversation Bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance Ambulation, mobility, and transfer assistance Meal preparation Light housekeeping and laundry Transportation to appointments and errands Medication reminders Dementia and Alzheimer's support Safety supervision Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) Observing and reporting changes in client condition Supporting client independence and quality of life Communicating client needs and concerns to the Comfort Keepers office Who We're Looking For We are looking for caregivers who are: Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) Compassionate and dependable Reliable and committed to scheduled shifts Professional and respectful Comfortable working independently in clients' homes Strong communicators Patient and attentive Passionate about helping seniors and adults maintain their independence Experienced ASL caregivers, HHAs, CNAs, personal care aides, and direct support professionals are encouraged to apply. Experience in caregiving is valuable, but we are especially interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong ASL communication skills and appropriate ASL training or certification .
