Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for residents by delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence. Your energetic approach and commitment to compassionate caregiving will help create a warm, respectful environment where individuals feel valued and supported every day. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Engage residents in meaningful activities, social interactions, and group outings to promote mental and emotional well-being Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry Follow resident's rights policies diligently while respecting individual preferences and dignity at all times Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, geriatrics, and long-term care practices Ability to perform manual handling and safe patient lifting practices; heavy lifting may be required Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training encouraged Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Valid driver's license for standard passenger car operation is preferred for community outings or home visits Join us in making a meaningful difference! Pay:
$11.00 - $16.00 per hour
