He is nonverbal, mobile, and requires full hands-on assistance with activities of daily living. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable providing personal care and values consistency, safety, dignity, and a calm home environment. Responsibilities Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, incontinence care, and meal preparation to support independence, comfort, and well-being. Implement behavioral health strategies and behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and emotional stability. Support clients during community outings and activities, utilizing personal transportation assistance and standard passenger car operation skills to ensure safety and engagement. Collect data on client progress, document observations, and maintain accurate records to inform care plans and support team communication. Administer medication following prescribed protocols, ensuring safety and compliance with health regulations. Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and team members to coordinate care plans and address individual needs. Provide social services support by fostering social interactions, encouraging participation in community events, and promoting social skills development skills. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, or cognitive disabilities in home or community settings. Experience assisting with ADLs, personal care routines, and providing caregiving support for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Strong communication skills Reliable transportation required. Must successfully complete a background check. CPR/First Aid certification required Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
