We are specifically looking for Direct Service Providers (DSP's) who will work directly with clients during our day program. Staff will report to our central office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and engage with clients across a variety of settings at our Day Program Center as well as in the community. Each DSP will be assigned to a group of clients that they are responsible for but should ultimately work as a team to engage with and support all clients' needs.

Responsibilities:

Enthusiastically engage with all clients during various activities and present learning opportunities throughout the day. Creativity in adapting activities is key in this role. Work on formal training objectives with clients monitoring progress and reporting to each clients' care team to identify and address learning objectives that need to be built upon or scaled back to meet the clients' learning level. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and dignity. Provide behavioral support using positive behavior management techniques tailored to each individual's needs. Support clients during community outings, including driving a standard 12 passenger van when necessary. Collect data on client progress and behavior to inform care plans and support team collaboration. Administer medication following prescribed protocols and maintain accurate medication records. Engage clients in social activities, recreational pursuits, and skill-building exercises to enhance social skills and community integration. Skills Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays highly valued. Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health strategies. Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and client-centered care approaches. Background in home & community care, caregiving, or social services environments. Excellent communication skills for clear client interaction and documentation. First aid and CPR certification required for emergency preparedness. Ability to assist with personal care tasks and support clients' independence in daily routines.
