Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Memory Care Caregiver, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other memory impairments. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care that promotes dignity, independence, and comfort. Your energetic and caring approach will help create a safe, engaging environment that supports residents' emotional and physical well-being. This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive setting focused on long-term care and enriching the lives of seniors with memory challenges. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Implement behavior management techniques tailored to residents with dementia or developmental disabilities to promote calmness and cooperation. Engage residents through social activities, conversation, and recreational programs designed to stimulate cognitive function and foster social interaction. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and assisting with meal preparation. Support residents' emotional needs by providing companionship, reassurance, and respectful communication at all times. Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to develop individualized care plans that meet each resident's unique needs. Drive residents to appointments or outings as needed, ensuring safety and comfort during transportation. Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or personal care homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care strategies. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is advantageous. Familiarity with vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic health monitoring techniques. Background in long-term care or home & community care environments is beneficial. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications related to caregiving or senior care are a plus. Pay:
$12.50 - $14.00 per hour
