Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes or community settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong understanding of the needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean and healthy environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure Provide companionship and emotional support to clients Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medication management Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record keeping Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Provide care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other developmental disabilities Qualifications Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records management Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications in caregiving or home health are a plus Familiarity with catheter care and hospice care practices is beneficial Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients of varying needs Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others live comfortably at home Ability to follow care plans accurately while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing client needs Join our team of dedicated professionals committed to providing high-quality home health care.
