Job Description

Do you currently live with someone over the age of 16, that is physically or mentally disabled? Are they unable to live alone due to a chronic illness or disability? Do they have any of the following insurance plans: MassHealth Standard or MassHealth CommonHealth? If you answered yes to the questions above, then you may be able to receive a monthly payment and other benefits once they are approved into the AFC program. The caregiver can be a friend or a family member, living in the same household. (A spouse is not eligible to become a paid caregiver) The caregiver can be eligible to receive a monthly stipend check, that is non-taxable to essentially do what they have been doing all along, that is taking care of a loved one. The AFC program is a MassHealth Program. Stipend payments are tax free and do not effect any other government benefit such as housing, food stamps, unemployment etc. Healthier You•
