Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Aid to provide essential support to individuals in an at home setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for caregiving and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our memebers. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity. Responsibilities Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Support members with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper lifting techniques to ensure safety. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction. Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals. Monitor and report changes in residents' physical or emotional well-being to the appropriate staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment for all members by adhering to health and safety protocols. Foster positive relationships with members, families, and team through effective communication and empathy. Experience Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred, particularly in settings such as home care or long-term care. Familiarity with the needs of individuals requiring memory care or assistance with daily living activities is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
