Provide direct support and skill-building in daily living activities Assist individuals with personal care needs such as hygiene, meals, dressing, and mobility Support participation in community activities, appointments, and social events Provide transportation as required Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment Complete daily documentation and shift reports Administer medications following established procedures Implement behavioral support plans and trained safety interventions when needed Support individuals with medical appointments and related documentation Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing development Provide coaching and support to new staff as directed What to
Expect:
This is a highly active, hands-on role that includes supporting individuals in both the home and community. Responsibilities may involve personal care, behavioral support, physical assistance, and maintaining a structured living environment, including household and occasional safety-related tasks.
Who You Are:
Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented—someone who is comfortable with hands-on support and committed to helping individuals build independence and stability. Be part of a team where everyday support creates meaningful change—helping people build homes, routines, and lives they're proud of. Bachelor's degree and/or non-degreed persons with a minimum of one year direct experience in human services. Valid Driver's License. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet. Successful completion and maintenance of all state and agency mandated trainings, including medication administration. Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
