Job Summary:
A Personal Care Homemaker or Home Health Aide is recognized as a responsible individual who has been trained to provide personal care and homemaking services necessary to maintain a disabled or dependent person in safety and comfort of their own home.Responsibilities:
- To assist in performance of Activities of Daily Living and Instrumental activities of Daily Living per Registered Nurse established plan of care to enable the patient/client to remain in the community safely, free from falls and hospitalizations.
- To submit paperwork in a timely manner according to agency policy and procedure.
Qualifications:
- Certified Personal care Homemaker or Certified Home Health Aide; or
- Equivalent training or experience could be substituted for the certification
- Has the emotional and mental maturity necessary for establishing and maintaining a good work relationship with the client, client's family and the personnel of the agency.
Physical Requirements:
- Hear and speak in a manner understood by most people
- Stoop and bend
- Travel to prospective client's residence
- Climb stairs
Special Requirements:
- Must have valid state Driver License and reliable transportation with current automobile insurance
- Must be willing to work at various hours
- Must attend and participate in continuing educational programs as they relate to job responsibilities.
