Job Description

POSITION

BEHAVIORIST/REGISTERED

BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Behavioral, Education, Psychology (preferred) or Associates Degree with equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced educational preparation in Special Education desired. Minimum three years of successful work in the field of ABA
  • RBT (registered behavior technician) certified or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Special Education programs; a willingness to familiarize oneself with Pre-K-5 general education programs.
  • Candidates who are enrolled in a program to become a BCBA will be considered without an RBT license.
DUTIES:
  • Provide direct teaching to students based on principles of applied behavior analysis
  • Implement behavior plans prepared and maintained by the supervising behavioral professional (e.g., BCBA
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst)
  • Model implementation of behavior strategies
  • Provide daily documentation of interactions with the identified service participant specific to the goal area for which ABA is authorized and all contacts with other providers and teachers.
  • Conduct and facilitate person centered processes to gather information for the development of assessments, interactional style documentation, and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA).
  • Conduct interviews and direct observations with students
  • Create team oriented Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) with target behaviors based on evidence-based behavior analytic procedures.
  • Conduct and implement skills assessments on individuals to develop person centered goals to increase skill competence and behaviors
  • monitor implementation of discrete trail programming and corresponding data sheets for accuracy

SALARY:

Personal Service Contract/$31.50 per hour
