Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, helping clients with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional support. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation. Support clients with medication administration following care plans and ensuring proper documentation. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community outings to promote independence and social engagement. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. Document care activities thoroughly, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient support. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), hospice care, and geriatrics. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary for patient transfer or mobility assistance. Familiarity with home health practices, assisted living environments, nursing home procedures, and long-term care settings. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, family updates, and team collaboration while respecting residents' rights. Certifications in CPR, First Aid, medication administration, and HIPAA compliance are highly valued. Experience operating patient transfer devices like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods safely and effectively.
