As a live-in caregiver, you will be an integral part of a team committed to enhancing quality of life through personalized assistance and attentive care. Duties Provide comprehensive personal care to residents, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs regularly, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities accurately Support residents with cognitive disabilities or memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care strategies Engage residents in meaningful activities and promote social interaction to foster mental well-being Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and meal preparation Follow resident's rights policies diligently, respecting privacy and promoting independence while ensuring safety Respond promptly to emergencies with first aid or CPR as needed, adhering to safety protocols and safe patient lifting practices Communicate effectively with residents' families and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and updates Following-up with Doctors appointments Following-up/closely monitoring for medication refills with and contacting Pharmacy Documenting incidents, MAR, Care notes, ect... Experience Prior experience working as a Live-in Alternate Assisted Living Facilities Manager, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of assisted living practices, dementia care, memory care, and geriatrics Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs and managing behavioral or cognitive challenges in seniors or individuals with disabilities Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional training in medication administration or specialized care (e.g., Alzheimer's Dementia) is advantageous Familiarity with standard passenger car operation for resident outings or errands is beneficial Experience working with individuals requiring long-term care or home & community care services enhances your suitability for this role Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently while maintaining resident safety Join us in making a meaningful difference every day!
