This rewarding role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence in a comfortable and respectful environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities Support clients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies, to promote safety and comfort Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and prevent injury Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean, safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry Follow resident's rights policies diligently to uphold dignity, privacy, and autonomy at all times Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and report any concerns or changes in condition Practice safe patient lifting techniques and adhere to infection control protocols at all times Experience Prior assisted living or residential care home experience preferred, especially within senior or memory care settings Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or developmental disabilities Knowledge of geriatrics, home & community care practices, and long-term care standards is highly desirable Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in Alzheimer's or dementia care is advantageous Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring is essential Experience operating standard passenger cars for client transportation purposes is a plus Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks competently Join us in delivering exceptional caregiving services that prioritize dignity, independence, and well-being.
