Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Caregiver/Activity Assistant, where your enthusiasm and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. In this vibrant role, you will provide personalized care, coordinate engaging activities, and foster a warm, welcoming environment for residents. Your energy and creativity will help promote independence, social interaction, and overall well-being, ensuring each resident feels valued and supported every day. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine caregiving with recreational programming in a senior living setting. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence Develop and coordinate engaging recreational activities and resident events that cater to diverse interests and abilities Build strong rapport with residents through compassionate communication and personalized attention Support memory care initiatives, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies, to enhance residents' quality of life Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans and activity programs tailored to residents' needs Manage schedules for activities ensuring smooth coordination of resident events and outings. Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation. Requirements Proven experience working with seniors in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments Knowledge of geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory support techniques Strong planning skills with the ability to develop creative programs that foster social engagement Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in home & community care settings is preferred Ability to manage schedules efficiently while maintaining flexibility for resident needs Familiarity with recreational therapy principles and program development for senior populations Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life through caregiving and activity engagement Join us in creating a lively, supportive community where seniors thrive! Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 40.0 per week
