Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to residents in a residential or assisted living environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, dementia and memory care, and long-term care settings. As a Resident Assistant Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing residents' quality of life by assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and fostering a respectful, supportive atmosphere. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive disabilities, implementing behavior management strategies as needed. Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control standards and performing routine cleaning tasks. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to address needs and concerns promptly. Follow resident rights policies diligently to ensure dignity, privacy, and respect for all individuals under your care. Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable. Knowledge of dementia care, memory care techniques, and geriatrics best practices. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in safe patient lifting practices is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks associated with caregiving responsibilities. Must be able to work well with others.
