Resident Care Director Position Summary The Resident Care Associate (RCA) provides compassionate, resident-centered care while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life for residents in our assisted living community. This position requires teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to providing exceptional care in accordance with all federal, state, local, and company policies. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Compassionate, dependable, and professional. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Must maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Willingness to participate in emergency response situations when needed. Must comply with attendance policies and all company procedures. Essential Responsibilities Provide quality personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility. Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition to the Resident Care Director or licensed nurse. Follow each resident's individualized care plan and document care as required. Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and transportation using proper body mechanics and safety equipment. Promote resident dignity, independence, privacy, and rights at all times. Respond promptly and courteously to residents, families, visitors, and coworkers. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. Follow infection prevention and control procedures, including proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with skin care, repositioning, and incontinence care to help prevent skin breakdown. Report resident concerns, incidents, accidents, abuse, neglect, or safety hazards immediately. Maintain confidentiality of all resident information. Participate in required training, competency evaluations, emergency preparedness, fire drills, and evacuation procedures. Arrive to work as scheduled and perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and move throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and assist residents with transfers using proper equipment. Ability to work with elderly residents, including those with physical or cognitive impairments. Must be able to respond appropriately during emergency situations. Health Requirements Annual negative TB screening as required by company policy and state regulations.
