I'm looking for someone Monday through Friday, approximately 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., to work with me as a personal and household assistant in my home in Derwood. I have MS, but I'm mobile, active, and independent. Having reliable help with the everyday demands of errands and the household allows me to preserve my energy for activities such as indoor rock climbing, which are extremely important for maintaining my strength and health. This is a dynamic assistant position rather than a traditional caregiving role. It includes driving with me to activities and appointments, running errands together or independently, light housekeeping, laundry, simple meal preparation, and helping care for my two large dogs. One is my Great Dane service dog, Presley, and my Golden Retriever, she is the family dog, so genuinely enjoying large dogs and being comfortable safely handling them is essential. I'm looking for someone dependable, energetic, kind, proactive, and comfortable with a varied and active day.
