As a private duty caregiver or companion registered with Cary's Circle, you function as an independent care provider and have the flexibility to accept assignments that fit your schedule, experience, and personality—while making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults and adults with disabilities, as well as their families. Position Summary We are seeking reliable, experienced, and compassionate in-home caregivers—including live-in caregivers—with strong leadership skills to provide private-duty care for seniors or adults with developmental disabilities. Care is primarily delivered in private homes, with opportunities to follow clients—or begin care—during hospital stays, rehabilitation, or within assisted living communities. Daytime/evening and weekend availability most needed. We value caregivers who go beyond simply filling shifts. Our ideal team members are independent, proactive professionals who deliver truly person-centered care , tailoring support to each client's unique needs, preferences, and goals to promote independence, safety, and dignity. Live-in caregivers also can play a vital role in supporting clients who require consistent, around-the-clock care and continuity of support. Individual needs will vary by client, but responsibilities may include Provide comforting companionship, emotional support, and social engagement to promote independence at home. Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, medication management, and mobility support. Support with light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and shopping. Accompany clients to appointments or social activities. Exercise strong leadership and independent judgment to anticipate needs, coordinate care, and adapt services in real time. Maintain clear communication with clients and their families. Respect client privacy and uphold professional standards of care. Qualifications Compassionate, patient, dependable, and a natural leader who thrives with autonomy. Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience providing direct care to seniors. Private-duty caregiving experience is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to deliver person-centered care and make independent, thoughtful decisions. Valid driver's license preferred; reliable transportation required. Ability to pass a criminal background screening and reference checks.
