Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregivers to provide one-on-one support for an individuals requiring personalized assistance. Duties and Responsibilities Provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Monitor the individual's health status by observing vital signs, behavior, and overall condition, and promptly report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional. Provide medication reminders in accordance with the individual's care plan and applicable regulations. Monitor the G-tube for security and signs of potential complications and promptly report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professional. Assist with all transfers, including transfers to and from a wheelchair, vehicle, bed, and chairs. A Hoyer lift may be used when appropriate and in accordance with the individual's care plan and proper training. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment through routine housekeeping and organization of the individual's personal living space. Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging social engagement, independence, and participation in appropriate activities. Follow the individual's established care plan, agency policies, safety procedures, and applicable state requirements. Communicate effectively with the individual, family members, supervisors, and members of the care team regarding the individual's needs and well-being. Qualifications Current CPR and First Aid certification required. Additional training or certifications in patient care, medication assistance, or related areas are preferred. Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting and assisting with transfers, using proper body mechanics and transfer techniques. Ability to safely operate or assist with the use of a Hoyer lift when required and properly trained. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and members of the care team. Dependable, compassionate, patient, and committed to providing person-centered care. Ability to follow care plans, maintain professional boundaries, and promptly report changes in the individual's condition.
Pay:
$17.50 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
