A young woman in La Plata, MD is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and professional Personal Support Professional to provide individualized support to a woman in La Plata, Maryland. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about empowering individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible while providing respectful, person-centered care in a safe and supportive home environment. The individual enjoys playing video games and follows a daytime‑to‑evening routine, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates who are comfortable working a 9am-9pm shift. The successful candidate will build a positive, trusting relationship while assisting with daily routines and promoting independence, choice, and community inclusion. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist with activities of daily living and evening routines Provide support with personal care tasks Help her access food and drinks as needed during late-night gaming sessions Assist with settling into bed comfortably at the end of the night Keep her living area tidy, organized, and arranged to her preference Provide respectful, person-centered support Maintain safety, comfort, and dignity at all times Communicate professionally with the support team as needed Requirements Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor Ability to work from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Availability to work Monday-Wednesday Willing to assist the employer with taking care of the cats Ability to commute to La Plata, MD 20646 Ability to pass a background check Valid driver's license and reliable transportation CPR and First Aid certification Experience supporting individuals with activities of daily living Benefits Training cost reimbursement, if applicable PTO reimbursement for full-time staff, if eligible
