Job Description

Overview We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, experienced caregiver to provide in-home care and daily support for an adult. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, physically capable of assisting with mobility and transfers, and comfortable following a structured care and rehabilitation routine. This position is best suited for someone with experience caring for individuals with mobility limitations, or adults requiring assistance with activities of daily living. The candidate has to be very attentive. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain detailed care plans and document patient progress accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide companionship and support, fostering a positive environment Strong communication and observation skills Ability to follow medication, therapy, and care instructions accurately Patient, respectful, compassionate, and trustworthy Comfortable working independently in a private home Able to recognize changes in the individual's condition and promptly notify the family/caregiver Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices Ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and recognize changes in health status Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Physical ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with patient transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident transfer methods Ideal Candidate The ideal caregiver is: Compassionate and patient Dependable and punctual Comfortable working with an adult with mobility limitations Confident with safe transfers CPR/First Aid certified Attentive to small changes in the individual's condition Comfortable documenting daily care Someone who genuinely enjoys helping others maintain independence and quality of life Schedule Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00
