The Difference 2-17 is looking for a Personal Supports Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centered Personal Supports services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for members, Direct Support Staff, schedules, families, service quality, and compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, compassionate, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while building strong relationships with members and their families. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day delivery of Personal Supports services. Coordinate member schedules, staffing assignments, coverage, and service hours. Support recruitment, onboarding, training, supervising, and supporting DSPs. Maintain consistent communication with members, families, guardians, and support teams. Meet with families to learn each member's routines, preferences, interests, communication style, strengths, and support needs. Regularly follow up with families to ensure schedules and services are working well and address concerns proactively. Communicate staffing changes, schedule updates, and service concerns promptly. Monitor staff performance, documentation, attendance, and service quality. Ensure services are person-centered and aligned with each member's goals, preferences, and approved services. Monitor member health, safety, rights, and overall well-being. Respond appropriately to incidents, staffing concerns, and urgent member needs. Coordinate with families, CCSs, nurses, case managers, behavioral professionals, and other members of the support team. Maintain compliance with DDA, Medicaid, COMAR, and The Difference 2-17 policies and procedures. Participate in meetings, quality assurance activities, audits, and service planning as needed. What We're Looking For Experience in human services, developmental disabilities, healthcare, social services, or a related field. Supervisory or management experience preferred. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Maryland DDA experience strongly preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage schedules, staff, documentation, and multiple priorities. Comfortable communicating regularly with families and guardians and meeting with them as needed. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a larger leadership team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Schedule & Availability This is a full-time salaried management position requiring flexibility based on the needs of the individuals and families we support. The manager must be willing to occasionally adjust their schedule and be available outside of standard business hours for staffing needs, family communication, meetings, emergencies, or other program needs.
